Once you have a list of keywords, you want to see which of them are more popular. The popularity of the keywords is measured in search volume. To find out how many people searched for the keyword on Google, you can use Keyword Planner tool. The Keywords Planner tool will show you keyword’s historical data based on search volumes. The keywords with higher search volume will have more success comparing to ones that are rarely searched. But is there a Keyword Search tool from Kijiji? Unfortunately, Kijiji does not have a tool that will help you find most effective keywords.

There is a way you can understand the popularity of the keyword on Kijiji. You need to Google the keyword and look for links to Kijiji website. The links will include keyword phrases from related Kijiji ads. The keyword phrases in the top links are probably most popular keywords. Include the keywords in the title and first paragraph of the ad

You already have a few keywords or keywords phrases that you have selected. Now it is time to add them to your ad. We will assume that you have written the ad. You can choose location that is closes to your area. If you service more then one area, you will need to post ad in each location. Kijiji organises the ad by location based on existing locations in their system. You can Google following search query to find what location on Kijiji you should use:

Your keyword + Kijiji + {location}

You will be able to see most popular locations nearby your area. Try this to see if you are posting in most popular location.


Monitor your response and adjust your keywords

Finally, you will need to gauge your responses. If your ad is not producing any replies, you have used a keyword that is too narrow. Alternatively, you may be getting a lot of unrelated replies to your offering. This means that your keywords are too broad. Try to find narrower keywords. Remember, your  keywords help your customers find you. Don’t forget that you also can to attract more customers with high quality images.
